I understand firsthand the challenges business owners face when it comes to mixing faith and business. Many entrepreneurs find the Bible confusing, unrelatable, and difficult to apply to their daily business operations. For that reason, it’s often hard for a CEO to believe that studying the Bible can help generate leads, create content, or grow a business. I know exactly how that feels because I used to think that way too.
Everything changed when I personally applied Joshua 1:7-9 and put the Bible to the test.
“I did not turn from the Bible from the right hand or the left so that I can have good success.
I was careful to do all that was written in it so that my way can be made prosperous.
I was strong and courageous; I was not afraid; I was not dismayed; I knew the Lord was with me.”
These verses became my business blueprint. They shaped how I make decisions, lead teams, and guide entrepreneurs through faith-based business growth.
My journey began with one simple prayer: “Lord, I need help.”
Soon after, the Lord brought to my remembrance the Summer Youth Employment Program. It was still summer, and not too late to apply.
Not everyone is called to understand the Bible in the same way. Some people read scriptures, some people read passages, and some read stories. Even though I use a combination of all three methods, my focus when studying the Bible is accountability. Holding the Word of God accountable for the directions and instructions as they pertain to life and business.
The Lord heard my prayer. Over the next six weeks, I employed, mentored, and provided life skills to New York City youth. In exchange, the interns helped my business do what we do best:
If Numbers 23:19 states,
“God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?”
Then that is what I expect.
If Joshua 1:8 promises prosperity along with success, and John 14:14 says,
“If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it,” then that is what you should expect.
Over the summer, I tested it, I tried it, and it worked!
These outcomes are proof that applying
biblical accountability principles in business can produce real, measurable results.
